Virtual Walkthrough: City Ridge

Description

DCPL Members are invited to join us on Wednesday, July 22nd at 10:30AM for a virtual tour of City Ridge, a "new urban village."  The ten-acre campus that makes up the former Fannie Mae headquarters is being redeveloped into 1.15 million sq. ft. of mixed-use development.

The project showcases a total of nine mixed-use buildings: totaling 690 residential units, retail space (anchored by the city's first Wegmans grocery store), and space for office/cultural uses. Portions of the original building (c. 1958 & 1962) will be incorporated into the overall development plan as the International Baccalaureate Americas Global Centre and the grand front lawn will be heavily programmed.

The virtual tour will be led by developer and DCPL Business Member, Roadside Development, with a discussion on the history and significance of the Fannie Mae site by EHT Traceries.  The DC Historic Preservation Office (HPO) will also take part in the Q&A portion of the presentation.

This is a members-only event.  Click here to join or renew your lapsed membership.
